SCORE Community Mourns the Death of Class 1 Racer Steve Appleton

"All of us in the SCORE family are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of one of our own - Steve Appleton. We don't know the details of his tragic airplane accident, but we do know how much we respected him and his Bad Apple racing team as individuals and as a race team. Steve was as ordinary as any CEO of a major corporation like Micron Technology could ever be and his genuine warmth and friendliness was displayed every time we saw him. He was a fierce and fair competitor in business and in life and his passing is way too early for a man who truly lived life to the fullest. Our sincere condolences, thoughts and prayers go out to all of us whose life he touched so dearly."
