RENO, Nev.—SCORE desert racing stars Rob MacCachren and Robby Bell will be both in featured SCORE spotlights during tonight’s SCORE DirtLive HD Internet show at 7 p.m. (PT).
Las Vegas’ MacCachren was driver of record for the overall and SCORE Trophy Truck winner and Bell was one of the riders for the fastest motorcycle in the recent 47th Tecate SCORE Baja 1000 desert race.
The granddaddy of all desert races was the season finale of the five-race 2014 SCORE World Desert Championship, as this year’s iconic adventure, Nov. 13-15, was a race of approximately 1,275 miles down Mexico’s majestic Baja California peninsula, starting in Ensenada, Baja California Norte and finishing in La Paz, Baja California Sur.
After its live airing tonight at, it will be re-broadcast continuously on the SCORE website throughout the week ahead.
MacCachren, the all-time winningest SCORE Trophy Truck racer with 12 career wins, split the driving down the peninsula with Andy McMillin and Jason Voss. For Las Vegas’ MacCachren, the victory was his seventh class win and second overall victory in the SCORE Baja 1000. For San Diego’s Andy McMillin, it was his fourth class and fourth overall win in the world’s best known desert race. It was also the first overall win for Voss, of Cupertino, Calif., who finished second overall this year driving solo at the Tecate SCORE Baja 500 in early June. McMillin, subbing for MacCachren, also won this year’s second annual SCORE Imperial Valley 250 in the No. 11 Rockstar Energy MacCachren Motorsports Ford F-150.
Bell, Glendora, Calif., was part of the four-rider team led by Ricky Brabec on the No. 4x THR Motorsports Kawasaki KX450F that was the fastest motorcycle in the legendary race. Bell won SCORE Class 22 season point championships for three consecutive years riding for Johnny Campbell’s Honda team in 2006, 2007 and 2008, has 10 SCORE Baja race wins including four in the iconic SCORE Baja 1000.
Both exclusive SCORE DirtLive HD interviews MacCachren’s will air from Steve Olliges’ Team Ford in Las Vegas while Bell’s will emanate from Precision Concepts high performance off-road motorcycle shop in Riverside, Calif., which is owned by his father Bob Bell.
