April SCORE Journal spotlight shines on review
of season-opening 33rd SCORE San Felipe 250
in-depth look at SCORE International, SCORE World Desert Championship, industry
ENSENADA, Baja California, Mexico — Over 30 pages of coverage in text, images and video reviewing this month’s season-opening 33rd SCORE San Felipe 250 along with several breakout pieces from the popular race and the new Honda Talon UTV are bathed in the spotlight this month in Vol. 5, No. 4 of the highly-acclaimed SCORE Journal digital online magazine.

The SCORE Journal digital magazine’s November 2018 (SCORE Baja 1000) issue delivered a record 2.8 million unique viewers/readers. The Spanish version of that SCORE Journal issue recorded 224,628 unique viewers/readers.
The SCORE website for the week of the 51st SCORE Baja 1000 in November of last year had a very strong 1.2 million unique viewers.
Helped by the SCORE live streaming format, The SCORE San Felipe 250 recorded 1,155,904 unique visitors to the SCORE website during race week.
And the SCORE Journal’s March 33rd SCORE San Felipe 250 preview issue was viewed by 1,810,444 unique viewers and our Spanish language edition of the SJ generated over 190,000 unique viewers!
INSIDE VOL. 5, NO. 4
Vol. 5, No. 4 of the SCORE Journal is once again filled with numerous interesting worth-reading features, stories, captivating images, exciting videos and several news items.
This edition is anchored around an exciting detailed review at the 33rd SCORE San Felipe 250 starting with overall and SCORE Trophy Truck winner Andy McMillin, overall motorcycle winners Justin Morgan/Mark Samuels/Justin Jones and overall UTV and Pro UTV FI winner Wayne Matlock and his wife Kristen Matlock who won her Pro UTV NA class for the second straight year as well as her husband.
There is also a breakout piece with Brad Wilson who is hoping his unlimited Class 1 victory will help catapult prominent Wilson Motorsports to its third straight SCORE Cass 1 season point championship in their Chevy-powered Jimco open-wheel desert race cars.

ABC TV IN 2019
SCORE has confirmed that the 2019 SCORE World Desert Championship will be televised on the ABC TV family of networks, marking the first time back on the ABC network since the 1967 and 1968 coverage of the Baja 1000 on ABC’s old Wide World of Sports show.
The one-hour shows on the 33rd SCORE San Felipe 250, 51st SCORE Baja 500 and the 52nd SCORE Baja 1000 will be televised as part of ABC’s World of X Games year-long programming. Presented by SCORE sponsors Monster Energy and BFGoodrich Tires, the ABC World of X Games series profiles iconic action sports figures and also highlights athletes, artists, event previews and recaps.
SCORE also announced that the inaugural Lucerna SCORE Baja 400 next September will air as a one-hour special on ESPN TV, also on the World of X Games programming.
Hall of Fame racer Cameron Steele’s popular ‘Trail of Missions’ show has been shown as part of ABC’s World of X Games series for the past several years.
