The idea of racing in the King Shocks 39th SCORE San Felipe 250 began long before the event, but Rob MacCachren realized that pulling it all together to build a new Trophy Truck in time was going to be somewhere between difficult and near impossible. That’s when he decided to dust off his old 2WD Trophy Truck and got it prepped. “I still had my old truck which saw its first race in 2013, and it needed a lot of work to get it ready,” said MacCachren. “I put my head down and started getting everybody working on it. I gathered parts from 42-inch BFGs to a Kroyer engine, then got prep work by Collins lined up, to make it happen.”
