FLEXING SOME MUSCLE

For Shelby Reid and her son Cody, It’s been way too long since they’ve earned a victory in SCORE’s Class 1Unlimited Open Wheel Buggy. At the 34th BFGoodrich Tires SCORE San Felipe 250 Presented by Ford, there were several firsts for the Reid team. It was the first time the mother and son had shared driving duties in one vehicle. Cody had previously been competing and winning, in Class 10. It was also the first time the team put their new Alumacraft buggy in competition. “With a new vehicle, the goal is always to see how it does and to get it to finish,” said Cody Reid. “We started in sixth place and we didn’t want to put any unnecessary stress on the vehicle, so we decided not to try and qualify for a better position.”
