Mark McMillin is the second generation of the McMillin family who with his brother Scott, began racing with their dad, Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Famer Corky McMillin. While Corky and Scott paired to race in a variety of classes, Mark campaigned a second vehicle, winning five SCORE Baja 500 races and eight SCORE Baja 1000 races in his career. In 1979 Mark McMillin won his first SCORE Baja 500 in a Class 9 vehicle, and followed up by winning the race again in 1987, 1988, 1997, and 2001, all in a Class 1 vehicle.

While the McMillin family became one of the top racing teams in SCORE’s history, Mark’s racing career and his achievements in creating faster Class 1 vehicles, culminated with the legendary Macadu buggy that was equipped with a Porsche engine and helped McMillin achieve numerous victories in the class.

Mark’s contributions to off-road racing led him to receive the prestigious BILSTEIN Madonna Award three times, and was appointed to the California’s Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation Commission by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. In 2015 Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Fame chairman Rod Hall, asked McMillin be the ORMHOF’s chairman, which McMillin has lead since then. He was later inducted into the ORMHOF in 2018, joining his dad Corky.
