A seasoned and relentless desert racer from Finland, Risto Niemi has carved out an enduring presence in SCORE International off-road racing. Known for his grit and mechanical reliability, Risto has embraced the brutal terrain of Baja across multiple decades, challenging some of the toughest environments in motorsport.

His commitment to finishing every race he enters — especially in the unforgiving Pro Moto Ironman category — reflects the very essence of Ironman spirit: endurance, self-sufficiency, and respect for the punishing courses that make SCORE racing legendary.

While Risto Niemi has consistently finished challenging SCORE desert events and posted strong class placings, particularly in the Pro Moto Ironman division, he has several Top 3 class podium finishes including the gnarly Baja 1000 2025 Pro Moto Limited 3rd place, Baja 1000 2016 Pro Moto 30 2nd place, Baja 1000 Sportsman class 2nd place and San Felipe 250 2012 Sportsman class 3rd place
