Congratulations Santiago Creel for winning your class at the 2020 SCORE Baja 500!
One of the largest race classes at the 54th BFGoodrich Tires SCORE Baja 1000 Presented by 4 Wheel Parts, the SCORE Trophy Truck Spec teams came out in full force to win a peninsula run. The class has some of the toughest competition this season, which had Jason McNeil in the No. 234 truck rise to the top with two race wins. Read More
There were several great drivers competing in the SCORE Trophy Truck Spec class, which included Clay Lawrence, Pat Sims, Vincent Munoz, and William Hedrick Jr, all who have won SCORE races in the past. It was also the debut of Pierce Herbst, son of Tim Herbst. Pierce was Driver of record but he had Ryan Millen drive in the number 264 Herbst/Smith Chevy and qualify fourth in class. They were followed by Santiago Creel in the number 260 Jefferies Chevy. Creel started earlier in the day with the 66x Pro Moto Unlimited team, riding off the starting line and handing off the bike to Brandon Prieto, before coming back to get into the SCORE Trophy Truck Spec car. The Monkey Business Race team has, over the last few years, left their mark in SCORE off-road racing. Starting with several motorcycle teams in various classes, they are led by team owner Mark Winkelman and Pro Moto racer Santiago Creel. At a typical SCORE race, Creel would start with the Pro Moto Unlimited 66x team, then ride a section for their 100x Pro Moto Limited Championship team, and then hop on the team's 360X Pro Moto 30 bike, all in one race. It was obvious the heat would be a big factor for any motorcycle or quad racer at the 52nd BFGoodrich Tires SCORE Baja 500. Nevertheless, those who were brave enough came out to compete among some of the best riders in the world. Read More
While the world is focused on the COVID-19 outbreak, we checked in on Andy, Luke, and Dan McMillin, as well as Bryce Menzies, Kristen and Wayne Matlock, Santiago Creel, Ryan Arciero, and Rick Geiser to see how they are doing and how they are preparing for when life and SCORE racing returns to normal. Here are just a few of the responses Read More
Although the conditions at this year’s BFGoodrich Tires SCORE Baja 1000 Presented by 4 Wheel Parts changed the game plan for many of the fourwheel race teams, the motorcycle racers didn’t seem as phased with the changing course. Even without an injured Mark Samuels, Justin Morgan still had a race to win and asked Max Eddy Jr., Shane Esposito, and David Kamo to help him win. Starting before dawn on Saturday, November 23rd, Morgan headed out into the Baja desert and seemingly had no difficulty riding through the mud at a pace that remained well ahead of the SCORE Trophy Trucks that would jump onto the course later that morning Read More
Although Creel’s Unlimited team took a second-place finish, his 100x Limited team finished first in class, ending a competitive season against the 120x team of Marco Pena. The 100x team finished with a time of 19:31:58 with co-riders Alejandro Sardi, Larry Serna, Sammy Mantalvan, and Javier Ibarra. “Sammy got us in a really good position in the race,†said Gallian. “When I got the bike it was a flawless ride for us. We just kept doing what we do. I got to hold the bike wide open on my section. Santiago and the whole Monkey Business crew put together a phenomenal bike and that’s why we won.†Read More
