His mastery extends beyond the grueling 1000-mile classic, with multiple SCORE Baja 500 class championships in Class 5 Unlimited spanning 2025, 2024, and 2023. The 52-year-old Tijuana-based competitor has proven his versatility across different vehicle classes, including a notable Class 10 victory at the 2005 SCORE Baja 1000 alongside co-driver Lobsam Yee and Angel Barajas.
Even when not claiming victories, his competitive drive remains evident, as demonstrated by his second-place class finish at the 2024 SCORE Baja 1000. This combination of recent dominance and historical success positions him as one of SCORE's most consistent and accomplished multi-class competitors, capable of excelling in both the technical Class 1/2-1600 and the demanding Class 5 Unlimited categories.

Within the 1/2-1600 class, Eli Yee and Kevin Sanchez had battled all season long for each race win and an overall championship.
