Jason McNeil Gets Another Checkered Flag | October 2021 Issue

Jason McNeil has been racing off-road for several years and found success driving a few different vehicles, including SCORE Trophy Trucks. His most recent triumphs have been in the driver’s seat of the FiberwerX Racing Trophy Truck Spec. “The class is no joke– there is some very serious competition on-course, and some ‘young guns’ are entering the class. I’ve been racing a long time, and the Trophy Truck Spec class is just as competitive as any on the course. Read More

Battle to the Finish | October 2021 Issue

At the start of the 2nd SCORE Baja 400 Presented by VP Racing Fuels, it was Christopher Polvoorde who qualified for the first starting position followed by Jason McNeil. With 26 starters in this class, the competition was tough enough, so a good starting position helped anyone who started in the top five. This included Jeff Bader who qualified third, Ryan Hancock in fourth, and Clay Lawrence who started in fifth place. Read More

A HEAVYWEIGHT CONTENDER | July 2021 Issue

Jason McNeil planned to employ a different strategy this year in taking the Trophy Truck Spec Class win at the SCORE Baja 500. He usually tries to jump toward the front of the pack right from the beginning, but this time his plan was to hold back a bit and wait until around the 300-mile mark to start to make his move. However, with a fifth in class starting position for his #234 TT Spec truck, he began encountering and passing stuck vehicles early, allowing him to move up in position to second on the road in his class after only about forty five miles. 2021 Baja 500 SCORE TT SPEC | July 2021 Issue

For the 26 SCORE TT Spec competitors at the BFGoodrich Tires 53rd SCORE Baja 500 Presented by 4 Wheel Parts, the silt was perhaps their biggest challenge. Many got stuck or slowly pushed through the deep areas of silt where competitors caught up to each other and fought to get out in the fastest time. No one knew this better than Jason Coleman in the No. 292 Herbst/Smith Chevy. Coleman started the race first after winning the class in the SCORE San Felipe 250, but got high-centered early in the race, losing his position on the course. At race mile 47, the team got caught deep in the silt and took more than two hours to get out. Read More
