SCORE remembers international motorcycle racing star Carlin Dunne

SCORE International joins the rest of the worldwide motorsports community in remembering superstar motorcycle champion Carlin Dunne, who passed away Sunday (June 30, 2019) as the result of injuries sustained near the finish line of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in Colorado Springs, Colo.
Dunne, 36, of Santa Barbara, Calif., was a four-time winner of the Race to the Clouds at the time of his tragic single-vehicle accident.
SCORE was fortunate to enjoy his skills, talent and cheerful personality at several SCORE races over the last several years highlighted by his victory in the Pro Moto Ironman class in the 2016 SCORE Baja 500. Dunne was also featured in the Dust2Glory movie in 2017 depicting his heroic efforts to finish the 2016 SCORE Baja 1000 despite being seriously physically sick.
Dunne was also rider of record in the Pro Moto Unlimited Class at the 50th SCORE Baja 1000 in 2017 where he and his team finished sixth overall and sixth in class in the iconic race from Ensenada to La Paz, Mexico.
Owner of a motorcycle shop in Santa Barbara, Dunne, originally from South Africa, was a true motorcycle racing legend in numerous forms of the sport.
The SCORE family was honored to call him one of our own for the last several years. He was a great mentor, great friend and superb racer and our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. He will be remembered by SCORE and all who were fortunate to have spent time with him during his brief but memorable life.
