     ENSENADA, Baja California, Mexico— Luke ‘The Luke’ McMillin, 33, San Diego, became the overall and SCORE Trophy Truck king of the 7th SCORE Baja 400, joining an exclusive group of racers who have captured the SCORE Baja Grand Slam, which also includes victories in the SCORE San Felipe 250, SCORE Baja 500, and the legendary SCORE Baja 1000.

       McMillin conquered the 423.42-mile course in 8 hours, 40 minutes, 50 seconds behind the wheel of his No. 83 McMillin Racing AWD Ford Raptor Mason, with outstanding work from navigator Jason Duncan helping him write another chapter in the golden history book of off-road racing. McMillin has now won three consecutive races in SCORE Trophy Truck, a feat previously accomplished by Robby Gordon in 1996, Curt LeDuc in 1997, Bryce Menzies in 2023, and Alan Ampudia in 2025.

       For ‘The Luke,’ the celebration on Ensenada’s Boulevard Costero followed victories in March on the Malecon in San Felipe at the King Shocks 39th SCORE San Felipe 250 and in June in the ‘Off-Road Capital of the World’ at the BFGoodrich Tires 58th SCORE Baja 500.

       “I’m very excited that we’re three for three this season. It was an emotional day with a lot of ups and downs. With the dust, the sun, and everything else we faced, we were able to pull off the win. So I’m very, very happy and proud of the entire team,”.

        Luke McMillin reclaimed the SCORE Baja 400 overall crown for the United States after Ensenada’s Alan Ampudia captured the overall victory in 2025, becoming the only Mexican racer to accomplish the feat. ‘The Luke’ now joins other great overall winners of the third round of the SCORE World Desert Championship, including Ryan Arciero and Bryce Menzies.

       It was McMillin’s ninth career SCORE Trophy Truck victory. The grandson of the late Corky McMillin, founder of the legendary ‘Big Blue M,’ son of Baja racing legend Mark McMillin, and nephew of all-star off-road racer Scott McMillin, Luke moved into a tie with desert racing legends Ivan Stewart, Dan Smith, Dave Ashley, and Mark Post with nine SCORE Trophy Truck race wins.

      Las Vega´s Bryce Menzies, 40, a former Crandon and short-course racing champion, finished second in the No. 7 Menzies Motorsports Ford Raptor Mason with a time of 8 hours, 43 minutes, 22 seconds. It marked Menzies’ third consecutive podium finish in the 2026 SCORE World Desert Championship after finishing third in both the SCORE San Felipe 250 and SCORE Baja 500.

       A total of 164 race teams took the green flag in Ensenada, with 102 officially reaching the finish line for a 62-percent finishing rate in the SCORE Baja 400. The international field featured racers from 23 U.S. states, the U.S. Territory of Puerto Rico, host country Mexico, Argentina, Australia, Canada, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Japan, New Zealand, Scotland, and Spain.

GAUNTS CELEBRATE IN MEXICO

       Maverick Gaunt, 32, Torrance, Calif., and Chasen Gaunt, 30, Torrance, Calif., of Smiley Motorsports won the SCORE Baja 400 in the second-year SCORE Trophy Truck 2WD class, driving their No. 42T Geiser Bros Chevy Silverado to an official time of 9 hours, 52 minutes, 19 seconds. It marked their first victory in the class.

       Second place went to Mike Perez, 43, Houston, in his No. 95T Brenthel Chevy Silverado with a time of 11 hours, 30 minutes, 16 seconds. Perez joined forces with Jonathan Faulkner, 28, Las Cruces, on a course that featured intense heat and rain while traveling through several traditional areas of the Baja California peninsula, including Ojos Negros, the legendary ‘Goat Trail,’ Mike’s Sky Ranch, San Quintin, Erendira Beach, and Ejido Uruapan.

A LONG-AWAITED VICTORY FOR LOPEZ

      For several years, Tecate’s Carlos Apdaly Lopez, 31, had been chasing a victory in the Trophy Truck Spec class. The only Mexican racer in history to win three SCORE Trophy Truck championships, in 2015, 2016, and 2017, Lopez finally earned that long-awaited victory at the SCORE Baja 400, driving his No. 273 Brenthel Chevy Silverado to an official time of 9 hours, 20 minutes, 22 seconds in a highly competitive class that featured 29 race teams.

       Mike Marsal, 38, Millbrook, N.Y., finished second, covering the course in 9 hours, 21 minutes, 13 seconds behind the wheel of his No. 236 Brenthel Chevy in Trophy Truck Spec. The runner-up finish marked Marsal’s first podium of the SCORE season. Justin Davis, 33, Colton, Calif., completed the podium with a third-place finish in the No. 285 Green Army Motorsports TSCO-Ford.

VILDOSOLA AND JOHNSON RULE THE BAJA 400 FOR FIFTH STRAIGHT YEAR

       For the fifth consecutive year, Mexicali’s Gustavo ‘Gus’ Vildosola Sr., 73, and Supercross legend Ricky Johnson, 62, El Cajon, Calif., celebrated a victory in the SCORE Baja 400, earning their second straight SCORE win this season. Driving the No. 1L Vildosola Racing Ford Raptor Mason AWD, the duo crossed the finish line with an official time of 9 hours, 15 minutes, 48 seconds.

MATLOCK STRIKES GOLD IN POLARIS SCORE CHALLENGE

      Wayne Matlock, 48, Alpine, Calif., not only won the SCORE Baja 400 in the Pro UTV Open class, but also captured the overall UTV victory, beating the star-studded Polaris factory team roster to claim the Polaris SCORE Challenge and take home a $50,000 prize.

       Matlock masterfully drove his No. 1871 Matlock Racing Polaris RZR Pro R Factory to the checkered flag with an official time of 9 hours, 54 minutes, 28 seconds. It marked the first SCORE Baja 400 victory for Matlock, a former SCORE ATV champion, as he conquered a highly competitive field of 18 other racers in the Pro UTV Open class.

THREE STRAIGHT AND COUNTING

      In addition to Luke McMillin, two other four-wheel racers have won each of the first three rounds of the 2026 SCORE World Desert Championship—Kaden Wells in Pro UTV FI and Jesse Astorga in Class 5. Both are also in contention for a SCORE Rod Hall Milestone Award, presented to racers who complete every required mile of the SCORE season.

        From SCORE International’s state-of-the-art studio in El Cajon, Calif., the hosts for the 7th SCORE Baja 400 were renowned motorsports commentator Ken Stout and multi-time SCORE class champion Wes Miller, who provided exclusive race-day coverage along with vehicle tracking, live drone footage, live timing, and in-car camera views from various points along the race course.

       Working alongside Stout and Miller in the studio during the race coverage was former SCORE champion Rich Minga, providing race analysis, joined by sports commentator Jason Heard and fellow former SCORE champion Ryan Thomas.

       Popular and charismatic Rat Sult, enjoying his 11th season as the ‘Voice of SCORE,’ served as the SCORE ramp host during Tech and Contingency, as well as at the race start and finish in Ensenada. Joining Sult was commentator Dave Arnold, while Brian Eaton served as ramp assistant.

       During Thursday’s Method Race Wheels Qualifying, the SCORE LIVE studio hosts were Austin ‘Fish’ Farner and Nick Isenhouer.

      The BFGoodrich Tires 59th SCORE Baja 1000 will be held Nov. 9-15 in San Jose del Cabo, Baja California Sur, marking the first time in history that the ‘The Grandaddy of All Off-Road Races’ will be held entirely within the state of Baja California Sur.      ENSENADA, Baja California, México–Luke “El Luke” McMillin se convirtió en el rey de la edición 7 de la SCORE Baja 400 en forma overall, y en los SCORE Trophy Trucks, con lo que es parte de un exclusivo grupo que ha ganado el Gran Slam de SCORE en Baja, que incluye también la SCORE San Felipe 250, la SCORE Baja 500 y la legendaria SCORE Baja 1000.

       McMilin dominó la ruta de 423.42 millas con un tiempo de 8 horas, 40 minutos y 50 segundos al volante de su Ford Raptor Mason de doble tracción, Número 83, además de la labor magnifica de su navegador Jason Duncan para escribir más historia en el libro dorado del Off-Road, al ganar 3 carreras en fila dentro de los Score Trophy Trucks, algo que logró Robby Gordon en 1996, Curt LeDuc en 1997, Bryce Menzies en 2023, y Alan Ampudia en 2025.

       Para “El Luke”, esta celebración en el Bulevar Costero de Ensenada se sumó a las conseguidas durante Marzo en el Malecón de San Felipe en la edición 39 de la King Shocks SCORE San Felipe 250, y en “La Capital Mundial del Off-Road”, en Junio con la edición 58 de la BFGoodrich Tires SCORE Baja 500.

       “Estoy muy emocionado de que llevemos tres victorias en tres carreras esta temporada. Fue un día de muchas emociones, con muchos altibajos. Entre el polvo, el sol y todas las condiciones que enfrentamos, pudimos conseguir la victoria. Así que estoy muy, muy feliz y orgulloso de todo el equipo”, indicó McMillin.

       Luke McMillin recuperó la cima de la Baja 400 para los Estados Unidos, ya que el overall de esta carrera en 2025 fue para el ensenadense Alan Ampudia, único mexicano que ha alcanzado esta hazaña, sumándose “El Luke” a otros grandes triunfadores de la tercera fecha del Campeonato Mundial del Desierto 2026 de SCORE International como Ryan Arciero y Bryce Menzies.

        Este fue el noveno triunfo de McMillin en los SCORE Trophy Trucks, nieto del fundador de “La Gran M Azul”, el fallecido Corky McMillin, e hijo de otra leyenda de Baja, Mark McMillin, y sobrino de un vencedor del Off-Road como lo es Scott McMillin, empatando en esa cifra a otras legendarias figuras de los desiertos como Iván Stewart, Dan Smith, Dave Ashley y Mark Post.

      Bryce Menzies, antiguo campeón de Crandon y las carreras de circuito cerrado, finalizó segundo en su Ford Raptor Mason Número 7 del equipo Menzies Motorsports, al detener el reloj en 8 horas, 43 minutos y 22 segundos. Este fue el tercer podio en fila para Menzies en el Campeonato Mundial del Desierto 2026 de SCORE International, al concluir tercero en la SCORE San Felipe 250 y SCORE Baja 500.

       Un total de 164 equipos de competencia recibieron el banderazo de salida en Ensenada, 102 cruzaron la meta en forma oficial, para un porcentaje de 62 por ciento de finalistas en la SCORE Baja 400. Se contó con corredores de 23 estados de los Estados Unidos, además el territorio estadounidense Puerto Rico, el país anfitrión México, Argentina, Australia, Canadá, Dinamarca, Inglaterra, Francia, Alemania, Japón, Nueva Zelanda, Escocia y España.

FESTEJARON LOS GAUNT EN MÉXICO

       Maverick Gaunt y Chasen Gaunt del equipo Smiley Motorsports ganaron la SCORE Baja 400 en la clase SCORE Trophy Trucks 2WD, que está en su segundo año de existencia, al control de su Chevrolet Silverado Geiser Número 42T, y deteniendo el reloj en 9 horas, 52 minutos y 19 segundos, este es su primer triunfo en esta clase.

       La segunda posición fue para Mike Pérez en su Brenthel Chevrolet Número 95T, con un tiempo de 11 horas, 30 minutos y 16 segundos, quien unió fuerzas con Jonathan Faulkner en una ruta que contó con intenso calor y lluvia, además de pasar por zonas tradicionales de la península de Baja California, como Ojos Negros, la “Bajada de Las Cabras”, el rancho Mikes, San Quintín, el ejido Eréndira y el ejido Uruapan.

UN TRIUNFO MUY ESPERADO POR LÓPEZ

       Fueron varios años en los que el tecatense Carlos Apdaly López buscó la victoria en la clase Trophy Truck Spec, el único tricampeón mexicano en la historia de los SCORE Trophy Trucks, 2015, 2016 y 2017, y la ocasión especial para ello fue la SCORE Baja 400, al volante de un Brenthel Chevrolet Número 273 con un tiempo oficial de 9 horas, 20 minutos y 22 segundos en una categoría que reunió a 29 equipos.

       Mike Marsal fue segundo, al cubrir la distancia pactada en 9 horas, 21 minutos y 13 segundos al control de otro Brenthel Chevrolet Número 236 en la clase Trophy Truck Spec. Este subliderato fue el primer podio para Marsal en esta temporada de SCORE. Justin Davis completó el podio con su tercer sitio a bordo del TSCO Ford Número 285 del equipo Green Army Motorsports.

VILDOSOLA Y JOHNSON, DUEÑOS DE LA BAJA 400

       Ya son 5 años en fila que el mexicalense Gustavo Vildósola Señor, y la leyenda del Supercross, Ricky Johnson, celebran una victoria en la SCORE Baja 400, su segundo triunfo en fila de este año en SCORE a bordo del Ford Raptor Mason Número 1L del equipo Vildósola Racing, al cruzar la meta tras 9 horas, 15 minutos y 48 segundos.

MATLOCK SE LLEVÓ EL RETO POLARIS SCORE

      Wayne Matlock no solamente ganó la SCORE Baja 400 en la clase Pro UTV Open, también el overall de los UTV´s, y venció al roster estelar del equipo oficial Polaris para llevarse a casa el Reto Polaris SCORE, además de un premio de 50 mil dólares para él.

      Matlock, quien manejó con maestría su UTV Polaris RZR Pro R Factory Número 1871 del equipo Matlock Racing para atrapar la gloria y la bandera a cuadros, con un tiempo de 9 horas, 54 minutos y 28 segundos. Esta fue la primera victoria de Wayne Matlock, antiguo campeón de SCORE en las motocicletas de 4 llantas, dentro de la SCORE Baja 400, y lo logró, venciendo a 18 rivales en la clase Pro UTV Open.

YA SON 3 Y CONTANDO

       Además de Luke McMillin, los siguientes corredores han ganado las 3 primeras fechas del Campeonato Mundial del Desierto 2026 de SCORE International en categorías de carros, Kaden Wells en la clase Pro UTV FI y Jesse Astorga en la Clase 5, quienes están en la batalla también por un Premio SCORE Rod Hall para los corredores que completen todas las millas de esta campaña de Off-Road.

SCORE EN VIVO

      Desde el moderno estudio de SCORE International en El Cajón, California, los anfitriones en la edición 7 de la SCORE Baja 400 fueron el reconocido comentarista de automovilismo Ken Stout y Wes Miller, multicampeón de clase en carreras de SCORE, quienes ofrecieron una cobertura exclusiva durante el día de la carrera, además del seguimiento de los vehículos, imágenes en vivo desde drones, tiempos en vivo y tomas de cámaras a bordo desde diferentes puntos de la ruta.

        Trabajando junto a Stout y Miller durante la cobertura de la carrera desde el estudio estuvo el excampeón de SCORE Rich Minga, a cargo del análisis de las acciones, acompañado por el comentarista deportivo Jason Heard y el también excampeón de SCORE Ryan Thomas en el estudio.

       El popular y carismático Rat Sult, quien disfruta de su temporada número 11 como la “Voz de SCORE”, fue el presentador en la rampa de SCORE durante la revisión mecánica, así como en la salida y meta de la carrera en Ensenada. Junto a Sult estuvo el comentarista Dave Arnold, mientras que Brian Eaton fue el asistente en la rampa.

     Durante la Calificación Method Race Wheels del Jueves, los anfitriones de SCORE EN VIVO desde el estudio de SCORE fueron Austin “Fish” Farner y Nick Isenhouer.
