OFF-ROAD SUSPENSION EVOLUTION

Since the 1960’s, suspension systems have changed dramatically, to not only smooth out the ride, but to also survive in harsh environments. Over the years, racing innovations have trickled down into street/off-road versions that have allowed vehicles to become great pre-runners, used by race teams to survey the course, locate pit stops, and for drivers, learn their section of the race course that gives them the fastest line through it. The right suspension system, even on a street-driven vehicle, can now handle the tough terrain, on the actual race course like the SCORE Baja 1000.
